When we got our new pontoon in 2003, some of the guys here at work suggested I put on this product that we put on our aluminum cement tankers called Sharkhide. It sounded real easy to do as 3 guys were able to apply it to a 30' tanker in less than 3 hours. I thought I would give it a try.
The boat came home and we wiped it down. While showing the new rig off, my mom, my mother in law, my wife, 3 kids and myself dove in and started Sharkhiding the boat. It took about an hour to do all 3 logs and the railings.
Five years later, we have touched up where we have scuffed the protection, but the boat still looks really good. People comment to us "is this a new boat". The real satisfaction is when you find a hidden spot that did not get treated. These spots are almost black. Makes me glad we used the Sharkhide, otherwise the whole toon would be black.
